Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician for Fiberon Decking, you will play a key role in keeping our production running smoothly. You’ll perform essential maintenance, repairs, and installations on our machinery and equipment, ensuring everything operates at peak efficiency.

Schedule: We are hiring for night shift (7pm-7am on a 2-2-3 pattern)
Compensation: $26-38/hour (actual pay will be based on qualifications & experience). 
Sign-On Bonus: $2,500 during the first year of employment.

Using your skills with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment, you'll troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues. You'll also inspect and test machinery to guarantee it's ready for production, all while adhering to our safety guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have industrial maintenance experience, with strong mechanical and electrical skills, including reading schematics and using testing equipment. They may have completed a technical training program or apprenticeship and are adept at troubleshooting and repairing machinery in a fast-paced, continuous manufacturing environment. A commitment to safety, teamwork, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts are essential.

What you will be doing:

  • Perform maintenance, repair, and installation on plant machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and fix mechanical, electrical, and equipment issues.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Inspect and test machinery before returning it to production.
  • Follow safety guidelines and report any issues.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED and completed craft apprenticeship or training.
  • Knowledge of mechanical maintenance, power tools, and equipment operation.
  • Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Experience with electrical testing equipment (Meters and Meggers).
  • Able to work 12-hour shifts.
