Job Description

In this position, you’ll have the opportunity to:      

Key Responsibilities:      

  • Measurement system analysis (including but not limited to Gage R&R)
  • Supplier ISIR (initial sample inspection report) and PPAP (production part approval process)
  • Gage improvement projects
  • Supplier engagement for gage improvement and product capability improvement
  • Problem investigation for root cause (include use of drawings, material specs, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a cross functional environment

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

  • Pursuing a degree in business, engineering or related field.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Understand of Gage R&R and SPC
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Desire to work in corporate environment
  • Desire to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

Physical Demands:  Physical demands of performing the duties of this job include, but are not limited to, occasionally lifting/handling up to <=50, frequently lifting/handling up to <=15 lbs, and constantly lifting/handling up to <=5 lbs. 

Non-Physical Demands:  Include but are not limited to time pressures, frequent change of tasks, irregular work schedule/overtime, multi-tasking, working closely with others as a team, and tedious or exacting work.

Work Environment:  While performing the duties of this job, the associate works around mechanical hazards, noise and or vibration on a daily basis.  Extreme temperatures, wetness / humidity and being outdoors are seasonally in nature.

Education and Experience:  High school diploma or GED required and pursuing a degree in business, engineering or related field.

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Computer Skills:  Computer literate.

Language Skills:  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write correspondence.
