Forefront is seeking a Lead Housekeeper that is passionate about providing friendly, top quality service at a healthcare facility in Bryant, AR!

Hourly Rate: $17.50

Summary/Objective:

This position is responsible for providing a clean and healthy environment for patients, guests and staff within the facility. The Lead Housekeeper will lead the EVS/Housekeeping personnel at the direction and/or in the absence of the EVS Director. He or she will actively participate in the facility’s EVS/Housekeeping goals and objectives and will strive to meet Forefront standards. 

Essential Functions:

  • Performs daily housekeeping of all areas within the facility including resident apartments and common areas. 

  • Closely follows daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules as set by the facility and/or resident.

  • Training of hourly associates with assistance from the EVS Director.

  • Communicate with the facility management and/or marketing staff to coordinate the cleaning of turnover and guest rooms. 

  • Communicate with the facility management and/or marketing staff to coordinate the cleaning and sanitation of covid turnover rooms in a timely manner. 

  • Inspect work performed by EVS/Housekeeping personnel to ensure that it meets specifications and standards. 

  • Responsible for communicating possible staffing shortages or concerns to the EVS Director.

  • Check stock to ensure that supplies and equipment are available in adequate amounts and notify EVS Director of supply needs.

  • Check and maintain EVS/Housekeeping equipment to ensure it is working order and notify EVS Director of any repairs needed.

  • Assures that EVS/Housekeeping equipment and supplies are properly stored and maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.

  • Understands EVS/Housekeeping chemicals and their proper usage

  • Visits with residents to ensure the delivery of EVS/Housekeeping service is exceeding expectations. 

  • Participates in required facility meetings. 

  • Ensures continued compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. 

  • Understands facility’s fire and disaster plans; follow established procedures during drills and actual emergencies. 

  • Perform other department duties as assigned by direct report.

Supervisory Responsibility:

The Lead Housekeeper must provide guidance to EVS/Housekeeping personnel in the absence and/or at the direction of the EVS Director. 

Work Environment:

This position requires lifting, up to fifty pounds (50lbs).

Physical Demands:

The Lead Housekeeper stands and walks continuously throughout the day. Reaches, stoops, bends, lifts, and carries housekeeping supplies and equipment. The Lead Housekeeper must have the ability to work with chemicals/cleaning agents and must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds (50lbs).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is an hourly position, with expected hours to include: days, evenings, some weekends, and some holidays.

Required Education and Experience:

The Lead Housekeeper must have a well-rounded prior working knowledge of the EVS/Housekeeping industry. 

Preferred Education and Experience:

Previous 1-3 years’ experience in EVS/Housekeeping or senior living is preferred. 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

Must be able to read, write and understand English.

Must be in good mental and physical condition.

Must possess leadership qualities and be able to lead and secure the cooperation of the EVS personnel.

Must be able to work productively with other associates.
