Job Description
Kōrero mō te tūranga (about the role)
We’re looking for a talented Infrastructure Practice Lead to deliver reliable, performant, and fit-for-purpose information technology infrastructure platforms through effective management of vendor partnerships and contracted resources. This role reports to the Manager, Technology Operations working closely to ensure technical governance, operational excellence, and optimal value from key contracts, specialist infrastructure resources while advancing capability aligned to Clarus’s technology strategy.
You can expect to:
- Responsibility for leading and managing infrastructure resources, including employees and third‑party service providers, as required.
- Define and maintain infrastructure strategy aligned to the Clarus organisational technology roadmap and business requirements.
- Manage key contracts, in conjunction with the Manager, Technology Operations, to ensure service delivery meets agreed SLAs, KPIs, and value expectations.
- Drive cloud adoption strategy and migration planning, including workload assessment and prioritisation.
- Identify and manage infrastructure-related risks, implementing appropriate controls and mitigation strategies.
- Provide technical direction and decision-making for complex infrastructure challenges.
Qualifications
Mōu (about you)
As well as being an infrastructure guru (7+ years experience), you'll be highly focused on delivering exceptional internal customer service through your strong communication and stakeholder management skills. You'll also have:
- Strong background in enterprise infrastructure across networks, servers, storage and virtualisation technologies.
- Strong understanding of modern infrastructure architecture patterns and emerging technologies.
- Clear experience managing outsourced infrastructure teams and 3rd-party service providers.
- Experience communicating and influencing with technical and non-technical audiences.
- People leadership/management experience.
