Job Description
Job Purpose:
- As a senior member of Global Markets Sales Team, the incumbent will be a strong team player with the ability to deliver agreed sales and revenue targets for the given portfolio, as a subset of the overall targets across GM. In addition, the role will require originating client deals, relationships, identifying and cultivating cross sell opportunities across business segments/ sectors and assigned geographies. There will be a pre-requisite to establish FAB Global Markets as a brand and a leading provider of GM products in the region/International markets.
- As a member of the GM – Global Corporate Sales (Primary Coverage) Team, the incumbent will be focused on penetrating into existing and new markets to originate client deals, to market and sell Global Markets products & solutions to key FAB clients within the prescribed client portfolio across assigned geographies. The scope has strong expectation to understand client requirements and provide high-quality service to the targeted clients.
- The role will require to assist the Cluster/Regional Head and team of Corporate Sales personnel in order to market the GM franchise and build relationships with Corporate & Institutional Banking entities in the region. Be responsible for GM Sales with a focus on derivative products to provide suitable and innovative solutions using progressive derivative products, alongside the marketing of traditional treasury flow products.
Key Accountabilities:
- Initiate and develop clientele to market GM products and services. Maintain relationships with a focus to build long term business partnership with clients and internal stakeholders (Coverage, GCF, GTB and Risk).
- Ascertain exposures and structure the best possible risk-reward solution to the customer requirements. As part of marketing prepare product presentations and analytical materials to target market clients.
- Maintain highest quality of client service & delivery by timely revert. Negotiate and conclude deals with external clients in a professional manner with focus on viable economics to the Bank.
- Ensure that appropriate documentation, approvals, risk limits and necessary regulatory compliance are in place prior to executing transactions.
- Remain up to date on all relevant products, systems and innovations made in the marketplace. Ensure adherence to all GM Sales requirements across client business which are in-line with FAB’s regulatory, compliance and best practice standards.
- Build/maintain strong relationship with GM teams (Sales, Products/Trading, Insights & Operations) including the relevant enabler functions such as GM Strategy and Business Management.
- Ensure client / internal / monetary impacting issues are escalated appropriately to line manager within suitable timeframe.
- Expectation to participate in client events / forums / off-site events as required.
- Ensure maximum optimization of client business flow activity and cross selling opportunities to produce best in class flow to support the GM business.
- Provide qualitative and quantitative inputs towards business and client strategies to line manager and other GM members as required.
Client Coverage
Segment Coverage to include the following as required by your assigned line manager.
- Institutional (IB) & Corporate (CCB) clients within MENAT region
- Assigned sectors but not limited to Govt & GRE, SWF & Financial Sponsors, Energy & Natural Resources, Diversified & Industrial Groups, Private Sector & Family Conglomerates and Others (as assigned).
Product Coverage:
- Product Coverage not to be limited to any asset class, which can extend to multi asset class coverage as required by your assigned line manager.
GM Product Champion:
- FX (G10/EM), FXO (G10/EM), Money Markets, Credit (Bonds, Sukuks, Tbills, etc), Interest Rate Derivatives, Repos, TRS, E-Commerce, Commodities, Equites & Equity linked Derivatives, Islamic Products, Other.

Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications:
- Between 10 - 15 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience of 10-15 years working in Financial Markets with knowledge of Global Market products, including risk valuations, XVA pricing and RAROC.
- Direct Customer interface / Client Service & marketing experience. Ideally, but not limited to, Corporate Sales within Global Markets.
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy, thorough and highly responsible with a good attention to detail. Having strong knowledge in using range of MIS & performance metrics to drive client portfolio growth.
- Experience of working in a high volume and high-pressure environment. Should have relevant experience of interacting with other regional and global teams.
- Strong team player, with ability to accommodate a range of views and drive team performance.
- Must possess effective communication skills to manage all levels of internal and external clients, business partners and technology.
- Takes accountability for own actions and seeks guidance from management when appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Minimum degree in Professional streams such as, Accounting, Economics, Banking or Financial Management or equivalent, viz., Bachelors
- Masters or equivalent professional certifications will be an added advantage, viz, MSc, MBA, CFA.
