Job Purpose
This role is responsible for designing and implementing HR initiatives aligned to Group HR and business strategy.
To work in partnership with business stakeholder by understanding their HR requirements, to ensure that they receive the desired HR support in timely manners, and thus support the achievement of the Group’s strategic objectives through aligned people plans and solutions.
Play a strategic role in change management by identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) to be measured and by tracking and communicating these results. Help the organization increase buy-in, comfort and support for change across departments, thereby increasing the success of change initiatives.
Represent Group HR for internal and external local regulatory/ statutory authorities.
Key Accountabilities:
People
- Develop and nurture partnership between management and employees, act as a role model and drive adherence to organizational values and ethics by employees of the assigned department to foster a value driven culture within the group.
- Work in partnership across all Group HR COEs on culture, talent, plans, staff cost, headcount under HR purview for effective delivery of agreed action.
- Take responsibility for resourcing and manpower activities ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Draw upon the specialist resources in Group HR as appropriate in order to provide the best available advice.
- Interface with group and country management for efficient delivery of HR services.
Change Management
- Focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures.
- Complete change management assessments and identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics.
- Assist employees by serving as a point of contact for questions and concerns and by explaining any impact on staffing.
Advisory & Coaching
- Provide a high challenge with support partnering relationship with business stakeholders, acting as an internal consultant to diagnose, develop and implement effective HR strategies and people plans which support business goals and drive sustained performance.
- Advise, guide and support all employees on all HR disciplines and policies to drive effective HR practices which are appropriate to the group’s culture, size and growth ambitions. Keep abreast of current legislation/trends in order to develop practical and appropriate policies and procedures especially at country level, communicate and embed ensuring they are relevant to the ongoing needs of the branch.
Continuous improvement
- Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
- Responsible for the review/ creation and update of policies and procedures ensuring adherence to bank as well as local laws and regulations. Ensure HR processes are aligned to group guidelines.
- Ensure communication and implementation of HR and other policies.
- Create effective processes to implement annual HR activities such as performance management, learning activities, employee survey etc.
Regulatory compliance
- Ensure employees and the branch operates within the requirements of FAB Policy & Procedures.
- Ensure payroll along with benefits for employees is processed in timely manner without any delay and errors.
- Take complete ownership of regulatory compliance and adherence to it in timely manner as required by authorities.
- Ensure relevant labour compliances as applicable are filed in time.
- Be responsible for liaison with internal and external governing bodies/ regulators, etc.
- Take accountability for bank readiness for internal as well as external audit and compliance checks.
Reporting
- Prepare branch reports / dashboard on a timely manner and accurately and meet country/group requirements, policies and quality standards.
Frameworks, Boundaries & Decision-making Authority:
- Functions within the framework and boundaries of Group policies as well as overall organizational and governance frameworks.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources or related discipline.
- Approximately 10 years of HR experience. Experience as an HR generalist/specialist is an advantage.
- Prior experience in similar capacity within the financial services sector, preferably with a small to medium sized organization is essential.
- Strong knowledge of local employment law and compliance requirements.
Skills:Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work across with stakeholder at different levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications e.g. excel, etc.
- Expertise in HR operations, policy development, HR communication
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, multi-task and deliver within tight deadlines
