As the Maintenance Execution Coordinator, you'll play a key role in ensuring maintenance activities are planned, organised and ready for execution at our Geraldton Port operation. Working closely with Mechanical and Electrical Supervisors, you'll coordinate schedules, materials, contractors and work priorities while acting as the link between site and our Perth Planning team. Your ability to keep multiple moving parts on track will help our maintenance teams work safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption.
This is a dedicated support and coordination role that enables our Supervisors to focus on technical leadership and the safe execution of maintenance activities. While you'll be instrumental in preparing and coordinating work, responsibility for technical decisions, engineering standards, maintenance methodologies and statutory compliance remains with the relevant Supervisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day maintenance activities across Mechanical, Electrical teams to ensure work is planned and ready for execution.
- Act as the key link between site teams and the Perth-based Planning Team, ensuring clear communication and alignment of maintenance priorities.
- Coordinate labour, contractors, equipment, materials and specialist services to support planned maintenance and shutdown activities.
- Ensure work is execution-ready by confirming permits, plant access, resources and materials are in place before work commences.
- Maintain maintenance schedules, work orders and planning information within the MEX maintenance management system.
- Monitor maintenance readiness, communicate schedule changes and proactively resolve planning or scheduling conflicts.
- Coordinate contractor mobilisation, inductions and site access requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance maintenance planning, scheduling and operational efficiency.
- Escalate technical, safety or scope-related issues to the relevant Mechanical or Electrical Supervisor.
About You
You'll be a highly organised coordinator with the ability to keep multiple workstreams moving while building strong relationships across Operations, Maintenance and Planning teams. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, communicating with a wide range of stakeholders and ensuring every detail is in place before work begins.
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Previous experience coordinating maintenance in mining, ports, fixed plant or other heavy industrial environments.
- Strong planning, scheduling and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
- Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), preferably MEX.
- A sound understanding of fixed plant maintenance and maintenance planning processes.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with a strong commitment to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
What You'll Need
Essential
- Current C Class Driver's Licence.
- Experience in maintenance coordination, maintenance planning or fixed plant maintenance within a mining or heavy industrial environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably MEX.
Desirable
- Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Project coordination experience within a maintenance or operational environment.
- Frontline Leadership qualification or similar leadership training.
