Job Description

Location: Perth CBD
Roster: Monday to Friday 
Type:12-Month Fixed-Term Contract, with the potential to be permanent full-time from day one for the right candidate

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the planning and delivery of critical project work packages.

This role will play a key part in the development and execution of civil and non-process infrastructure (NPI) scopes, working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team to ensure safe, cost-effective, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Studies and Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Development and definition of civil and NPI work packages, including roads, earthworks, drainage, concrete, services, buildings, and supporting infrastructure
  • Preparation of scopes of work, technical documentation, BOQs, and tender packages
  • Management of the tendering process, including contractor engagement, tender evaluations, and recommendations for award
  • Contract administration and management, including performance monitoring, progress claims assessment, variations, and dispute management
  • Support to project controls, including schedule development, cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting
  • Interface management with contractors, consultants, operations, and internal stakeholders
  • Support construction execution activities, including site inspections, quality assurance, and safety leadership
  • Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with Fenix safety, environmental, and governance standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience in civil and/or NPI project delivery, preferably on mine site or remote infrastructure projects
  • Proven experience in work package development, tendering, and contract management
  • Strong understanding of project controls, including cost, schedule, and risk management
  • Ability to work effectively with contractors and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Practical, solutions-focused mindset with strong communication skills
  • Experience across construction execution phases will be highly regarded
