Job Description

 

The FSD Automation Team is looking for a Software Engineer I to join a centralized team responsible for building and scaling automation solutions across the organization. You will sit at the intersection of software development and business process improvement—you'll keep the lights on for existing automations while also driving new projects that modernize how our teams work.

 

This is a hands-on engineering role. You'll contribute to the team's automation roadmap, develop solutions that deliver measurable efficiency gains, and take ownership of initiatives like migrating our self-service forms platform from Microsoft Forms to a web-based application backed by a database.

Main Responsibilities Automation Support & Operations

  • Monitor existing automations to ensure reliability, performance, and uptime.
  • Evaluate and resolve issues, bugs, or failures in deployed automation workflows.
  • Document processes, configurations, and system behaviors to support knowledge continuity.

Automation Development

  • Develop, test, and deploy automation solutions that reduce manual effort and improve process consistency.
  • Contribute to delivery of projects on the team's automation roadmap.
  • Write clean, maintainable code in Python and JavaScript/Node.js.
  • Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

New Initiative Leadership

  • Lead the migration of self-service forms from Microsoft Forms to a web-based form platform with a backend database.
  • Design and implement database schemas and APIs to support form data capture and downstream workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to accelerate delivery through better tooling, patterns, or architecture.

Qualifications

 

  • 1–3 years of experience in software development, automation engineering, or a related technical role.
  • Proficiency in Python or JavaScript/Node.js for automation and backend development.
  • 1+ years of experience with SQL and relational databases (schema design, querying, integration).
  • Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, RDS, or similar).
  • Proficiency with using AI tools for coding development
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Automate or other low-code/no-code automation platforms.
  • Familiarity with agentic AI concepts, frameworks, or tools (e.g., LLM-based workflows, autonomous agents).
  • Experience building or migrating web forms with backend integrations.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control best practices (Git).
  • Background working within financial services, data, or enterprise technology environments.
