ABOUT US

Experian's Cyber Fusion Centre supports enterprise‑wide cyber response, security investigations, and digital forensics. The Cyber Fusion Engineering team, part of Corporate & Investigative Security, builds and maintains the secure, scalable technical environments that enable these critical operations.

The team works closely with enterprise technology, security, and governance partners to ensure platforms are inclusive, resilient, and aligned with organizational standards.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Lead Cyber Fusion Engineer designs, builds, and supports cloud‑based engineering environments used for security investigations, digital forensics, and eDiscovery. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Forensics & eDiscovery, you will help grow Cyber Fusion capabilities by creating secure, scalable platforms used across global teams.

You'll collaborate with Cyber Fusion teams, Information Security Risk Management, governance partners, and enterprise technology teams. You'll create solutions that meet security, compliance, and operational needs while promoting a culture of collaboration, learning, and inclusion.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Cyber Fusion Engineering Leadership

  • Partner with the Senior Manager of Cyber Forensics & eDiscovery to build and evolve the Cyber Fusion engineering program.
  • Lead the design of scalable, secure engineering platforms that support investigative and security teams.
  • Develop clear roadmaps, service models, SLAs, and RACI frameworks to promote clarity, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Act as the technical architect for Cyber Fusion engineering environments.

Cloud & Lab Engineering

  • Design and maintain secure, cloud‑based lab environments for investigations and analysis.
  • Build scalable solutions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud using Infrastructure‑as‑Code (e.g., Terraform).
  • Create isolated, compliant environments to support forensic and investigative work.

Automation & Platform Engineering

  • Develop automation and CI/CD pipelines to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, patching, and maintenance processes.
  • Integrate Cyber Fusion platforms with enterprise security and investigative tools.

Operations & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure environments remain secure, resilient, and up to date through patching and vulnerability remediation.
  • Manage access controls, standardized system images, and platform documentation.
  • Collaborate with security and governance partners to meet compliance and resilience standards

Qualifications

  • The minimum technical experience required is 12 years. This experience may include working in various technical roles, such as Information Technology (IT) Engineering, Digital Forensics, Information Security/Cyber Security, Incident Response, Cyber Security Engineering, or Information Security software/tool development.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security/Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Information Technology, or a related technical field.In lieu of this requirement, Experian accept 6 years of relevant experience in a Digital Forensics, Incident Response, Cyber Security Engineering, or Information Security software/tool development role. We would also consider relevant law enforcement or military experience in lieu of this requirement.
  • We prefer the following certifications:
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
    • AWS Certified Security – Specialty
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
    • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
    • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
    • GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
  • Experience designing and operating infrastructure supporting cybersecurity, digital forensics, or incident response teams.
  • Experience working within a Cyber Fusion Centre, Security Operations Center (SOC), or investigative security organization.
  • Experience engineering and maintaining enterprise-scale cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code solutions such as Terraform.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks using Jenkins or similar platforms.
  • Experience integrating enterprise security tools such as SIEM, EDR, and investigative platforms.
