Job Description
The Staff Engineer – Front End will play a key role in building clean consumer facing Web UI within the Marketplace domain in Experian Consumer Services. Direct to Consumer Marketplace is one of the fastest growing areas with Experian and we are looking for a strong Software Engineer who thrives in a fast-moving environment. The candidate will work very closely with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to deliver high quality, scalable, UI features and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, Development and Testing of key programs within Marketplace Engineering
- Building clean, intuitive and responsive UIs that are the face of Experian to our consumers.
- Development of technical solutions that are built for quality, scale and performance.
- Collaborate with the business, product management and PMO on product roadmaps and quarterly planning sessions.
- Participate in code and design reviews to minimize rework and catch issues early in the process.
- Ensure stable Production operations with focus on uptime, performance and reliability.
- Work efficiently as a part of a global team of engineers ensuring effective collaboration, communication, and delivery.
Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelors, Computer Science or related field preferred or equivalent amount of experience, knowledge, and skills.
- Exceptionally skilled Front-End Web Engineer with strong technical depth and leadership capabilities, able to operate effectively in a fast-paced engineering environment using modern front-end development practices.
- 8 to 11 years of UI engineering experience using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, with deep expertise in React, Angular and TypeScript.
- Experience building modern front-end architectures including Server-Driven UI (SDUI), GraphQL, Apollo GraphQL, and Apollo Federation.
- Strong experience implementing Micro Frontend (MFE) architectures using Webpack.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium.
- Experience with Unit and End-to-End testing frameworks including Jest, Karma, Jasmine, Protractor, Cucumber, and Playwright.
- Cloud exposure: AWS / Azure / GCP
- Deep technical expertise on JavaScript frameworks and single page application design and development
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
- Proficiency with the DOM and asynchronous event-programming models
- Track record of cross browser development on a large scale public facing application
- Solid understanding of responsive design, web standards, and UI/UX best practices
- Experience with blue/green deployments as an application release model
- Experience using multiple JavaScript/CSS frameworks and libraries (React, Bootstrap, Storybook, Angular, etc.)
- Deep understanding of software engineering practices, design principles and patterns and unit testing with respective UI frameworks.
- Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Experience or familiarity with GenAI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, code generation tools) to enhance productivity in coding, code reviews, and debugging. Exposure to agentic coding workflows is a plus.
