Job Description

Overview

You will provide transactional, regulatory, and other legal support for the daily operations of Experian North America's Fraud, Innovation, and Commercialization business unit. Additionally, you will support the Experian Software Solutions business unit , with the opportunity to support other businesses.

Experian's Fraud, Innovation, & Commercialization business provides solutions to businesses to prevent fraud and verify identity. Experian Software Solutions creates software, platforms, and innovations used across Experian's global fraud and financial services portfolio. You will report to a senior attorney in the North America the Law Department.

Responsibilities

  • You will advise in risk assessment and regulatory reviews for new products, drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
  • Provide advice on compliance with multiple laws, including consumer protection and data privacy laws.
  • You have experience in relevant transactional matters, with regulatory experience relevant to financial services (FCRA, GLBA) preferred.
  • You will adapt the requirements of the role with the guidance of the legal team

Qualifications

  • 7-11 years of relevant legal experience in a large law firm or in-house setting.
  • JD degree and license to practice law in relevant jurisdictions required
  • Experience handling matters for financial services, privacy, or other regulated industries (Knowledge of FCRA and GLBA regulations preferred)
  • Experience disseminating legal information non-legal professionals in a clear way
  • History of taking complex business issues and developing practical strategies from a legal perspective

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education. This position is also eligible for a variable pay opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package.
