Job Description
We are looking for a Senior DevOps & Infrastructure Automation Engineer to lead large‑scale automation initiatives, strengthen the reliability and security of global infrastructure platforms, and drive DevOps maturity across hybrid environments. In this role, you will guide architectural decisions, mentor engineering teams, and ensure that automation, performance, and operational excellence remain at the core of our technology ecosystem.
🛠️ Your key responsibilities
- Design, lead, and evolve enterprise‑scale infrastructure automation solutions using Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and cloud‑native services to deliver secure, consistent, and scalable infrastructure across hybrid environments.
- Own the stability, performance, and evolution of global DevOps and self‑service platforms, including automation tooling and private cloud services, ensuring high availability and adherence to operational and security standards.
- Lead the implementation of infrastructure security controls through automated patching, OS hardening, and secure configuration standards to reduce security risk and ensure compliance.
- Identify reliability risks, scalability limitations, and operational inefficiencies, driving automation and architectural improvements to enhance system resilience and operational maturity.
- Provide leadership during on‑call rotations and major incident response, performing root cause analysis and driving long‑term remediation to minimize downtime and prevent recurrence.
- Mentor DevOps engineers and operations staff, establish best practices, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to raise organizational DevOps maturity and ensure consistent operational practices.
Qualifications
🎯 What we expect from you
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Advanced experience with DevOps and infrastructure automation in complex enterprise environments.
- Large‑scale administration of Linux (Red Hat, SUSE) and Windows Server.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible), including module and framework design.
- Strong scripting and programming skills: Bash, PowerShell, Python (Go preferred).
- Experience with CI/CD platform design and optimization (e.g., Jenkins, Git‑based workflows).
- Knowledge of public and private cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Experience with containers and orchestration platforms.
- Skills in server provisioning, patching, and OS security hardening at scale.
- Strong capabilities in monitoring, performance tuning, and reliability engineering.
- Proficiency with version control systems and branching strategies (Git, Bitbucket).
- Experience in Agile (Scrum) and ITIL‑based operational models.
- Strong system design, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis abilities.
- Ability to mentor peers and influence technical direction.
- Advanced English and availability to work hybrid in São Carlos/SP.
