Job Description

About the Role: 
 
Our platform services engineering teams are responsible for providing reliable cloud-based 
RESTful APIs for our Experian Software Solutions division. We are seeking a Software Engineer 
for one of our Client Shared Services teams to help us continuously improve the software 
available to our clients via our rapidly growing Cloud platform. Much of our software 
development focuses on building microservices to provide numerous capabilities for our client 
applications. On the platform services team, you will have opportunity to use your expertise in 
coding, system design thinking and analytical skills to provide shared services for the client
product development teams. 
 
What You’ll Do Here 
• Build and maintain centralised platform services providing capabilities to other platform 
APIs such as enabling secure communications, strategy management, service discovery 
and monitoring.
• Work closely with team on the process of requirements gathering with various 
stakeholders across teams. (Product Owner, Architect, User experience, Delivery and 
Support functions, Site Reliability Engineering/Operations team etc.).
• Deal with routine support queries and fixes, where required.

Qualifications

What You'll Need To Succeed 
Must Have Skills: 
• Solid professional coding experience in Java / J2EE Technologies.
• Good experience with the SpringBoot framework.
• Strong understanding of running containers in a production environment using 
container orchestration services (Kubernetes, AWS EKS).
• Experience with AWS in various services such as RDS, S3, EFS.
• Experience with JavaScript, CSS and jQuery

  • Knowledge of ReactJS, Node JS, NPM.
  • Strong working knowledge of Object - Oriented Design Principles and J2EE Design patterns
