Job Description
Experian is looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to join their dynamic Engineering team. You will offer the chance to promote their DevOps programs in a collaborative setting. As a Platform Engineer, you’ll work on their 'cloud first' strategy, focusing on secure and scalable solutions using modern technologies. You’ll collaborate with software and site reliability engineers, applying your DevOps and automation expertise, and report to the Cloud Platform Engineering Team Leader.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the development, deployment, and management of scalable and high-availability platforms.
- Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot and maintain environments, ensuring seamless integration of new features.
- Find and address security threats to maintain compliance with strict security standards.
- Contribute to operational practices, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in Kubernetes (AWS EKS & EKS-Anywhere) and Cloud technologies - AWS.
- Experience with tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, Hashicorp Vault, Kafka, Redis, and Jenkins.
- Enthusiasm for Gen AI tooling – GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT.
- 1+ years of experience with automation and an understanding of infrastructure as code principles with a familiarity with CI tools like Jenkins and version control systems like Git
- Awareness of monitoring systems such as Splunk, OpenSearch, Dynatrace and Grafana.
- Background in Linux administration, with RedHat and Amazon Linux.
- Programming skills and interest in DevOps, Systems Engineering or Build and Release Engineering.
