Job Description

 

Tasks and Duties

  • Ensure smooth and timely clearance process flow.
  • Ensure all customers standard operating procedures are followed as per the SOP.
  • Monitor audit and customer reports to ensure total customer satisfaction and execution.
  • Lead Operational Huddles
  • Manage Dayforce/Timecard approval and edits
  • Attend and support with operational customer meetings
  • AUE and 361 Report Management
  • EDI Error Management
  • Support with complex PSM Updates
  • Support with Post Entry Request Management and execution on timely revisions
  • Support with department accounting functions (BNP Credits/PNB, Draft Payables, AJAX, AR, etc.)
  • Work with Customs Process Specialist on Transition and Implementation of new business.
  • Conduct quality 1-1’s and developmental discussions with team and provide feedback.
  • Build and maintaining strong relationships with customers and governmental Customs organizations.
  • Proactively communicate with the team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulations.
  • Be a guide for the team - mentor agents and ensure that positive attitude is maintained within the team.
  • Coordinate team capacity and desk coverage for absences and where support can be allocated across product.
  • Promote and implement productivity tools within the team (e.g., using Raft, Edoc Lift, Data Defaulting, Expo Customs)
  • Be continuously open and positive to implementing new system changes and enhancements with your team.
  • Support and attend customer engagements and operational discussions (standard operational meetings, QBR’s, etc).

 

Physical Demands

  • Use of standard office equipment - computer with keyboard and mouse, phone, fax/copy/scan machine, etc.  
  • Write with pencil/pen/marker. 
  • Functions performed primarily while seated at desk

 

Qualifications

  • Global logistics industry knowledge
  • Good computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word)
  • Fluent in English
  • Good knowledge of customs brokerage process and system essential
  • Good knowledge of incoterms
