Job Description

Based at the customer site, the Logistics Operations Manager will work with business leads to define and manage business processes, technology roadmaps, and change management through collaboration and influence-without-authority. By providing "boots on the ground" oversight, you will ensure pre-population integration, rack assembly, and shipping processes remain highly synchronized. You will support day-to-day operational execution—clearing roadblocks and resolving escalations—enabling Program Managers to focus on larger strategic initiatives such as site turnups, optimization projects, and network scaling strategies.

Top Daily Responsibilities:

  1. Be the single point of contact to manage all AIC operations exceptions, process audits, and operational reporting.

  2. Manage and monitor KPIs (e.g., OTIF, dock-to-stock, inventory accuracy) to stabilize execution and drive corrective actions.

  3. Oversee day-to-day warehouse integration operations, physically inspecting the floor to proactively resolve emerging issues relating to hardware pre-population and material staging.

  4. Drive alignment for New Product Introductions (NPI) and experimental hardware rollouts, immediately escalating risks in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Operations & 3PL Management * Work closely with 3PL partners to manage and optimize the pre-assembly and pre-population procedures at the offsite location.

  • Enforce adherence to safety and quality protocols, ensuring correct personal protection equipment (PPE) and tool specifications are met prior to assembly.

  • Oversee the safe execution of rack staging, using material handling equipment to populate trays, route OSFP/Cat5 cables, and install rectifiers.

  • Monitor systematic operations, ensuring accurate Status Owner Changes (SOC) via the AIC Tracker to correctly move individual components to their designated build IDs.

  • Ensure proper execution of outbound processes, verifying that racks are stretch-wrapped, securely strapped, and systemically shipped at the component level via SAP.

Issue Management, Reporting & Escalation * Handle a high volume of operational escalations, identifying root causes for inbound anomalies and applying direct interventions to clear backlogs.

  • Manage and route ticketing systems (GUTS/Buganizer) to ensure timely resolution of technical or systemic WMS order blockages.

  • Oversee the handling of damaged materials, ensuring completion of the AIC Damage Form and appropriate systematic moves to Quarantine or repair project codes.

Continuous Improvement & Projects

  • Identify process gaps between origin and destination sites, implementing process updates with a continuous improvement mindset (PDCA, DMAIC, A3).

  • Lead localized inventory initiatives, such as tracking down decommissioned assets and systematically moving them back into visible project codes to recover high-value inventory.

  • Support and oversee compliance with local site conditions, maintaining standardized workflows like the ML Quality Check Form to record the precise work completed on each populated rack.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Serve as the primary contact for operational inquiries, establishing trust with operations leaders by combining direct floor experience with data-driven insights.

  • Partner with planners and Program Managers to create bandwidth for network changes and execute specialized workflows without delaying on-time delivery commitments.

  • Present clear status reports to internal and external stakeholders detailing operational trends, NPI visibility, and capacity blockages.

Qualifications

 Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in Supply Chain, related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 3–5+ years of logistics, supply chain, large-scale warehouse operations, or hardware integration experience.

  • Demonstrated experience planning, tracking, and resolving escalations with at least 3+ years in stakeholder management.

  • Strong working knowledge of SAP/WMS systems, tracker tools, and Google Workspace.

  • Experience implementing continuous improvement frameworks (Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA).

  • Proven self-starter capable of managing high-stress environments, rapid network changes, and complex interdependencies with limited oversight.
