Job Description
Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Pricing Engagement, PRJ-Flagged Revenue and P&L Performance
- Strategize & organize pricing efforts via PRJ Quote system to review and improve bid performance for Project Cargo Services (PCS) opportunities (Quarter-on-Quarter / Year-on-Year bid award rate to be tracked) to align with department’s goal for PRJ-Flagged revenue growth in Australia/New Zealand
- Perform evaluations on quality of bid submissions to improve RFQ success rate
- Quarterly review of P&L performance for Australia/New Zealand with Regional Vice-President of South Pacific & Director of Project Cargo Services for South Asia.
Sales and Account Development
- Develop sales & engagement strategy, in collaboration with Sales & Account Management teams to build sales pipelines (Dynamics CRM; Quarter-on-Quarter / Year-on-Year PRJ-Flagged revenue to be tracked)
- Support retention efforts on existing PCS accounts
Operations Excellence
- Collaborate with Product teams to drive carrier & service provider performance to meet or exceed service expectations from customers in accordance with Company’s compliance policies (zero incidents/disputes resulting from actions within PCS control)
- Manage & oversee project/site executions, equipment selection & deployment through detailed planning in accordance with project execution plan & Boots-on-the-Ground supervision
- Onboard competent service providers and carriers in accordance with Company’s policies & in collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders (Service Provider Management, Product teams, etc.)
- Review carriers’ terms & conditions on booking/fixture note for breakbulk shipments & escalate for resolution when necessary
- Maintain strict PPE discipline during project/site executions & responsible for the conduct & behavior of service providers on site
- Work with Districts in Australia/New Zealand to ensure all PCS shipments are correctly flagged in Company’s systems & resolve data discrepancies, if any, when necessary
- Ensure all PCS shipments are executed successfully without financial implications
- Develop/institutionalize PCS knowledge to raise District competency in handling project cargo executions
Qualifications
- Preferably possessing a tertiary qualification with over 10 years of freight operations experience specializing in over-sized, heavy-lift operations & project cargo.
- Good knowledge of carrier terminologies, different modes of project cargo transportation, heavy lift equipment selection & deployment.
- Good appreciation of risk assessment techniques & risk control strategies.
- Good working knowledge in computer software applications including E-Mail, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Good interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English
Additional Information
