IS Global Service Center (GSC) operating from Chennai, India, is a part of IS supporting Expeditors IT operations. IS GSC has grown to 350+ employees today delivering world class Information services globally. This Product based Strategic Center's IT transformation has delivered a radical change to Expeditors IT manpower profile and skills over the past three years and will continue to deliver services as we continue to grow responsibly in the coming years.

The Data Center Infrastructure Team is responsible for managing Expeditors essential infrastructure. This infrastructure provides Expeditors the global connectivity, compute power, backups and storage to meet its growing demand to move freight. The Storage Administrator is responsible for the support, troubleshooting, installation, and deployment of Storage and Backups based systems.

• Install, configure and manage all network attached storage (Dell PowerStore, Hitachi HNAS, Cohesity)
• Provides production support for arrays and fiber channel switches including after-hours on-call support
• Diagnose and isolate array, fiber channel switching, and application-related problems
• Perform hardware maintenance, repairs, & replacements
• Ensure backups infrastructure is online and available
• Function as a subject matter expert for Storage and Backup related questions for other groups within Expeditors
• Provide recommendations to management through research and review of recent industry solutions in various Storage related technologies
• Create documentation and training material; provide training to others

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to work collaboratively in an agile team environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• 2+ years of experience with storage management technologies (NAS, SAN & FC Switches)
• Knowledge of backup strategies and products
• An aptitude for methodical and comprehensive troubleshooting
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Hitachi and Pure Storage
• Experience with Cohesity backup solutions
• Experience with agile (SAFe) project planning
• Experience managing a multi-vendor environment
• Practiced in designing and implementing business continuity / disaster recovery and high availability plans
