Job Description

The Finance Project manager works onsite at the client’s location (currently working from home). The Project Manager is both an externally and internally facing resource who drives project management and cohesion between Google Finance, and the Finance onsite team. Assists in packaging project success in a marketable summary to executive stakeholders. The project manager is integral in the creation and prioritization of project plans, timelines, vendor management, communication of progress, issue management, process efficiency, project administration, owning carrier initiatives, project achievement marketing and joining stakeholders across multiple functions. A successful candidate will have a strong background in transportation and financial analysis, possess excellent communication and customer service skills, and be highly motivated with a can-do attitude to get the job done.
 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for all BET/Non-TI customers within the GLO Program and provide support for all transportation needs and requests
  • Support ad hoc projects and assist in capturing one off spend drivers while estimating budgets and additional costs 
  • Work with all necessary stakeholders involved to drive system integration for smooth invoicing between Customer/Carrier/3rd party Freight Auditor 
  • Responsible for statistical analysis and reporting of transportation spend activities
  • Develop robust financial reporting and dashboards 
  • Conduct spend related project management 
  • Focus on the overall cost savings for the GLO Program
  • Collaborate with Management to establish KPIs, SLA’s, and other metrics that can be used to more effectively manage transportation spend

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent field, master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience with 3rd party Freight Pay Auditor 
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in Transportation (Air, Ocean, Truck, Parcel) and financial analysis
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Macros, Formulas, VLookups)
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to create visually appealing content that is easy to understand
  • Basic Programming Experience (SQL or something similar)
  • Demonstrated strategic planning experience at a management level
  • Experience in managing budgets and forecasting
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven ability to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proactive self starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in a dynamic, everchanging and fast-paced environment
