Job Description:

Expeditors exchanges over 35 million Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) messages each month with our customers, service providers and government agencies. EDI provides tremendous business value.

An EDI Developer creates and maintains EDI based business translations that exchange electronic messages with internal and external systems. You will be part of a team that is responsible for developing, testing, installing, and supporting this critical business information. The profile requires the person to use their technical knowledge to develop EDI translations using EDI integration tools (webMethods) and other proprietary internal applications.

Essential Skills: 

• Basic understanding of Java and Object-Oriented Programming Concepts
• Basic understanding of SDLC process
  
• Strong knowledge on any of the programming languages and associated tools
  
• Basic understanding of database structures, data relationships and SQL
  
• Keen attention to detail, with solid listening, verbal, and written communications skills
  
• Good analytical/ Programming capability and logical reasoning skills
  

• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both
  on paper and verbally, to internal and external customers

Preferred skills:

• Self-starter with positive attitude

• An understanding of EDI will be added advantage

• Passionate to contribute in a team-oriented environment

• Ability to work creatively in a problem-solving environment

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related fields

• Only 2018 pass outs with no standing arrears

• Mandatory Aggregate of 70% in SSLC and Aggregate of 60% and above in 12th & Graduation/PG.
