Job Description

What will you be doing? 

To work in conjunction with the Financial Planning team, and in particular a senior partner, to maintain and build trusted relationships with current and potential clients. Where appropriate deliver Financial Planning and Wealth Management advice - including interactive cashflow.

As Associate Financial Planner,  your responsibilities will include among others:-

 

  • Building new client relationships and maintaining and developing existing client relationships through effective ongoing service to help minimise attrition, deliver new instructions and referrals as a result of satisfied clients
  • Ensure clients have the right advice to achieve their financial objectives
  • Ensure client reviews are undertaken at least annually in line with clients’ changing risk attitudes and strategic requirements
  • Work in partnership with Investment Management colleagues to develop client relationships
  • Maintain the New Business Pipeline (NBP) and ensure all values and dates are up to date
  • Ensure comprehensive client records are kept and that these are accurate and up to date at all times and in line with Group policy.  Strive for no complaints and where they are received ensure that they are raised with the Client Resolution team in a timely fashion and assist in bringing them to a satisfactory resolution

Qualifications

Skills & Experience 

To be successful in this role, you should:-

  • Have the ability to deal with new and existing clients on a fee basis Required
  • Understand and communicate advice practices and processes clearly and effectively 
  • Have the technical/product knowledge and effective communication of wide ranging holistic financial planning strategies & solutions 
  • A strong ethic of client service 
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and to prioritise work 
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 

Professional Qualifications and Education

  • Holds a relevant level 4 qualification or above (aspiring for Level 7) and maintains an up-to-date Statement of Professional Standing
