Job Description

Position: Junior Business Analyst
Working Location: Bangalore - India                       
Work Mode: Hybrid model

Shift timings: 8.00 AM to 5.00 PM OR 12.00 PM to 9.00 PM IST.


About the Role

As a Junior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting business transformation, process improvement, and the implementation of critical business applications across Eurofins Food & Water Testing UK & Ireland. Working closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, and business stakeholders, you will help bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to develop a career in Business Analysis, Digital Transformation, IT Solutions, and Project Delivery. The role will provide hands-on experience in requirement gathering, process mapping, testing, system implementations, and stakeholder management while working on business-critical programmes such as Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and other customer-facing applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to understand current business processes and support the design of future-state solutions.
  • Assist in documenting and analysing "As-Is" and "To-Be" business processes, workflows, and user journeys.
  • Gather, document, and analyse business requirements from stakeholders across different departments.
  • Support the creation of functional specifications, business process documentation, process maps, and user requirements.
  • Assist in identifying process gaps, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Work with development and support teams to ensure business requirements are clearly understood and delivered effectively.
  • Support system implementation activities, including configuration, testing, validation, and deployment.
  • Assist in developing User Requirement Specifications (URS), test plans, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking, and solution validation activities.
  • Support data mapping, migration, validation, and documentation activities where required.
  • Facilitate and support workshops, meetings, training sessions, and demonstrations for business users.
  • Monitor project actions, risks, issues, and deliverables to support successful project delivery.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, issue triage, and resolution of production or system-related issues.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

 

Key Qualifications and Skills:
Essential:

  • Recent graduate in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Life Sciences, Engineering, or from any engineering discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and document business processes and requirements.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive attitude with a desire to learn new technologies, systems, and business processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage with stakeholders at different levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio (or similar tools).

 

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of Business Analysis methodologies and techniques.
  • Exposure to process mapping and workflow documentation.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other software development methodologies.
  • Experience using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Lucid chart, Miro, or Visio.
  • Understanding of software testing concepts and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or laboratory operations.
  • Experience gained through internships, university projects, placement years, or coursework related to business analysis, project management, data analysis, or systems implementation.
  • Basic understanding of data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence concepts.
  • Interest in Digital Transformation, Automation, Artificial Intelligence, and Process Optimisation initiatives.

Qualifications

BE Computer Science/MCA or any other Bachelor’s degree with the right experience
