Eurofins Biopharma Product Testing is looking for an IT Solutions Automation Support (Internship) to join our Central IT Solutions team in Europe.

In this role, the resource will support the development of AI-driven and automation solutions for laboratory environments, helping transform data from scientific systems into actionable insights.

He/She will contribute to structuring laboratory application data, supporting AI agent development, and enabling predictive analytics use cases (e.g., instrument performance, workload trends).

Key Responsabilities:

• Support the development and deployment of AI agents using historical documentation and operational data;
• Collect, structure, and standardize data from laboratory applications (e.g., CDS, ELN, instruments) for AI/ML readiness;
• Contribute to automation and AI projects across European IT organization;
• Analyze historical KPI data (e.g., lab system performance, downtime, ticket trends) and support predictive analytics initiatives;
• Assist in governance of IT technologies by supporting review and approval processes for new solutions;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, lab operations, vendors) to identify automation opportunities.

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or similar (or final year / recent graduate);
• Initial experience (internship or project work) in: Automation (RPA / scripting), Data handling or analytics, AI/ML basics;
• Basic understanding of data structures, APIs, or system integration concepts;
• Interest in AI, automation, and digital transformation in laboratory environments;
• Strong analytical mindset and willingness to learn;
• Good communication skills in an international environment;
• Current location in Milan.
