Responsibilities

• Receive, log, and label incoming samples according to established procedures
• Prepare samples for analysis, including weighing, grinding, splitting, or dissolving materials
• Safely handle chemicals, reagents, and bulk materials
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sample prep area
• Operate laboratory equipment such as balances, mills, ovens, etc
• Follow all SOPs, QA/QC requirements, and chain‑of‑custody documentation
• Communicate effectively with lab analysts, supervisors, and couriers
• Assist with inventory management of supplies and chemicals
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, including PPE use and proper chemical handling
• Carry out basic laboratory tests such as water activity, weight, moisture, and physicals-testing methods.
• Perform general housekeeping of work area in alignment with 5S standards, and performing other duties as assigned. 
• Apply the highest quality standard in all areas of responsibility; maintain ISO 17025 quality standards and accreditation for the laboratory.
• Demonstrate strong client service skills

• Relevant laboratory experience, preferred
• Degree in chemistry or related scientific discipline, preferred but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a science field, preferred
• Experience working within an established quality system (ISO 17025 preferred)
• Understanding of production laboratory operations
• Detailed-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills along with demonstrated ability to collaborate with others.
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
• Familiarity with LIMS or other sample‑tracking systems
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 70 pounds of materials, including chemical containers and sample batches
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

• The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m..
• May be requested to work on weekends, overtime, and holidays based on business needs.
