Job Description

Eurofins NSC Canada, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Associate to join our Human Resources team in Toronto, Canada. This position supports the Eurofins businesses in Canada, and will support further acquisitions and growth. The HR Associate is a generalist with the ability to work with multiple business units. Reporting directly to the Director, Human Resources, this position must be flexible and adept at handling multiple and quickly changing priorities for different Eurofins companies.

The HR Associate serves as the key liaison between the local business unit and the corporate HR team, ensuring smooth communication and alignment on human resources activities. This role supports the full employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on recruitment coordination, system data management, training support, and basic employee relations.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a point of contact between the local site and corporate HR for all HR-related matters

Facilitate new employee administrative onboarding, ensuring all documentation, training materials, and orientation sessions are completed accurately and timely

Maintain accurate and organized HR records and employee files in compliance with applicable regulations

Assist in Payroll and Benefits Administration

Manage and update corporate and business employee handbooks

Manage data in all systems, including payroll, training platform, internal corporate database, etc.

Assist with basic employee relations matters by documenting concerns, escalating issues as needed, and providing basic general support to employees and managers

Assist in organizing and supporting internal HR initiatives such as training sessions

Coordinate the offboarding process, retrieval of company assets, deactivation of system access, and ensuring proper documentation is completed

Ensure compliance with Canadian labor laws and regulations

Participate in special HR projects and initiatives as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in an HR support or coordination role
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of Canadian labor laws and HR best practices
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and staying current with HR trends
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
