Job Description
Eurofins Food Analytics NZ Ltd is seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Quality Coordinator to support the effective operation of the laboratory’s ISO/IEC 17025 Quality Management System (QMS).
While this position is based in Auckland, the successful candidate will also provide quality support to Eurofins Food and Water laboratories across New Zealand and Australia, contributing to regional alignment of quality practices, documentation, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
The Quality Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Supporting the maintenance and continuous improvement of the ISO/IEC 17025‑accredited Quality Management System across the Food Analytics laboratory.
- Assisting with internal audits, external assessments, document control, and corrective action processes.
- Coordinating proficiency testing, supplier evaluations, equipment calibration records, and other routine quality functions.
- Ensuring laboratory SOPs, policies, and quality documentation are current, compliant, and aligned with Eurofins requirements.
- Supporting quality documentation and communication for the wider Food and Water laboratories across NZ and Australia as part of a coordinated, regional quality framework.
- Preparing and maintaining quality reports, metrics, and records for audits and management reviews.
- Assisting with staff training, competency documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promoting a strong culture of quality, compliance, and operational excellence across all supported sites.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a laboratory or scientific environment (food testing, water testing, microbiology, or chemistry advantageous).
- An understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 or laboratory quality systems (training available).
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence working with documentation systems and quality records.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple sites and teams.
- A tertiary qualification in science or a related discipline is preferred but not essential.
