• Cryostat and microtome sectioning
• Develop and execute disease relevant immunohistochemistry assays and perform quantitative image analysis
• Run relevant plate-based immunoassays
• Contribute to the characterization and validation of experimental therapeutics
• Communicate data clearly and concisely to the appropriate client teams and stakeholders
• Be able to thrive in a team environment

Education

• BS/BA degree with 3-5 years of industry or academia experience

Required Experience and Skills

• Tissue embedding, microtome and cryostat sectioning.
• Strong general knowledge of methods in immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization and method optimization and troubleshooting
• Proven experience in image acquisition and strong microscopy skills
• Strong working knowledge of mouse and human neuroanatomy
• Ability to work independently on data analysis including a practical knowledge of statistics
• Ability to present data in small group meetings. 

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Experience with automated immunostainers (e.g. Ventana)
• Expertise in applying histology markers of Alzheimer’s disease related pathologies (amyloid plaques, Tauopathy, Gliosis and neuroimmune function) strongly preferred 
• Demonstrated experience with quantitative image analysis (e.g. ImageJ, Indica labs HALO, HALO-AI, Python)
• Experience running plate-based biomarker immunoassays

The position is Full Time, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Boston, MA, are encouraged to apply.
