SUMMARY OF POSITION AND OBJECTIVES:

The Quality Engineer will design, develop, and execute automated and manual tests to ensure high‑quality delivery of Eurofins products. This role focuses on building scalable automation frameworks, API/UI automation, CI/CD integration, and collaborating closely with development teams to drive shift‑left testing and strengthen overall product quality.

 

POSITION & OBJECTIVES:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using industry‑standard tools.
  • Implement automated test coverage across UI, API, and integration layers, ensuring cross‑browser and cross‑device compatibility.
  • Integrate automation suites into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for smoke, regression, and sanity testing.
  • Analyze pipeline failures, improve execution reliability, and optimize runtime.
  • Review test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for quality, coverage, and alignment with standards.
  • Maintain a balanced approach between manual and automated testing.
  • Define, monitor, and report automation metrics such as coverage, stability, flakiness, and defect leakage.
  • Conduct root‑cause analysis of production issues and identify test‑coverage gaps.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and promote shift‑left testing practices.
  • Collaborate closely with development, product, and QA teams across locations.
  • Provide regular status updates on automation progress, risks, and release readiness.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in tools, processes, and testing workflows.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: (to be specified for each position)

 

Experience:

  • 5–8 years of experience in QA automation and quality engineering.
  • Strong hands‑on automation experience using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
  • Strong experience in API automation using RestAssured or Postman.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments.

 

Education:

  • BE, BTech, MCA, or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in programming languages: C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Experience with test frameworks: SpecFlow.
  • Strong understanding of test management processes.
  • Hands‑on experience with Git and CI/CD tools.
  • Knowledge of UML and good SQL skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS).
  • Exposure to performance or security testing tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a global environment.
  • Self‑starter with a proactive mindset and eagerness to learn.
