Job Description

Lab Operations and Sample Management:

  • Receive new stability samples for testing.
  • Log sample information and sample inventory accurately into stability database.
  • Ensure samples are stored in the correct stability conditions.
  • Remove samples from stability chambers daily and submit them into the lab with correct Certificates of Analysis.
  • Maintain stability database (inventory, date changes, comments); removing tested products from the database on a weekly basis.
  • Managing reagents, standards, and columns as per appropriate SOPs.
  • Ensuring stability chambers are clean and organized.

Method Management and Documentation:

  • Manage methods (database, review, and filing).
  • Scan new and revised Methods and Standardizations.
  • Prepares data for implementation of eLIMS and ComLIMS.
  • Prepare stability protocols based on client requirements.
  • Stability Reports: Print weekly stability reports from the database, verify items to schedules and individual protocols; pull C of As from the database; complete relevant information (lot #, expiry dates, time frame, manufacture date); complete packaging assessments where required.

Client Interaction and Administrative Duties:

  • Liaise with company customers, specifically clients for stability testing, through phone, e-mail, and in-person.
  • Maintain superior customer relations.
  • Manage customer scheduling of projects.
  • Coordinate project tracking and client management.
  • Create new client accounts and link standard quotations from com LIMS.
  • Retrieve and archive C of As.
  • Registration of samples and ensuring complete sample information for the lab.
  • Invoice administration.
  • Correspond with clients regarding stability issues.
  • Variety of administrative duties including filing, faxing, photocopying, online administration, shipping (including but not limited to sending lab supplies to clients).
  • Creating memos.
  • Verifying information on ongoing projects.
  • Coordination of stability projects, including initiating studies and retain samples for lab testing.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc or diploma in Chemistry, Biology or science-related discipline
  • 2-5 years of Stability experience
  • 2-4 years of laboratory experience
  • 2 years of QA experience
  • Excellent skills in documentation and record-keeping with high attention to detail
  • Excellent MS Office skills, specifically Word
  • Significant eLIMS or other database experience
  • Organized and with the ability to plan ahead
  • Good customer service orientation
  • Able to handle multiple competing priorities and stay calm under pressure
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Working Conditions: This position will be working in a laboratory environment where standing is required for greater than 50% of the time to work at the bench for analyses. Light lifting requirements of no more than 20 kg.

Evening and weekend shift work may be required.
