Job Description

The Events Coordinator role will be responsible for the planning and execution of tradeshows and webinars for Eurofins Discovery, with a focus on the European region.  This role is key for supporting the vision and strategic goals of the business at events.  Select job duties will include scheduling and hosting planning meetings with US and EU-based stakeholders, communicating with show organizers, assessing and selecting sponsorships, negotiating contracts, defining tradeshow deliverables and deadlines, and keeping tradeshows and events on budget and on time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning and execution of events from start to finish
  • Communicate with show organizers to determine sponsorships, costs, provide deliverables, and assess deadlines for the team
  • Schedule and host planning meetings with US and EU-based employees
  • Creation and maintenance of tradeshow playbooks
  • Report out of tradeshow results, including activities performed, leads obtained, lessons learned
  • Track expenses, ensuring events stay within budget
  • Oversee the logistics of booth asset shipments to and from event venues
  • Maintain event asset inventory (booth, tabletop displays, marketing material, etc.)
  • Creatively solve problems and overcome obstacles
  • Available to travel to events, if needed
  • Support of additional events may be required
  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Owns the accountability and responsibility of delivering to client needs and timeliness
  • Provides cross-functional support to other departments as required
  • Adjusts work hours as needed to meet client deadlines
  • Adheres to site environmental health and safety (EHS) requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of event planning experience in a corporate environment, excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, strong problem solver, must love event planning, skilled in Microsoft office suite and project management tools
  • Comfortable with contract negotiation
