Job Description
We are seeking a highly proactive, self‑driven Business Development Manager who will play a key role in driving the continued growth of our business in Switzerland. In this role, you will identify new market opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and position Eurofins as a preferred partner for GMP‑compliant analytical testing services in the fields of Microbiology, Chemical‑Physical Analytics and Environmental & Utility Testing.
Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and acquire new customers within the Swiss (Bio)Pharma sector through proactive outreach and event‑driven lead generation
- Drive sales growth by developing new business opportunities and closing deals aligned with strategic objectives
- Implement targeted sales strategies to accelerate market penetration and strengthen regional presence
- Plan and execute sales activities to achieve ambitious revenue goals
- Manage existing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross‑selling
- Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, and industry events
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in key IT systems, including CRM tools and customer databases
Qualifications
- A scientific degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in customer interaction, ideally with initial exposure to Business Development
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Microbiology
- Solid knowledge of GMP regulations, essential for performing the role effectively
- Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in common IT applications, including MS Office and CRM systems
- Excellent spoken and written English skills
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
