Job Description

  • Provide a single point of contact for US Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) Department’s operational support
  • Independently interact with on-site, scientific teams as well as European members and suppliers such as CROs to ensure smooth and expedited processing of requests and resolve issues
  • Contributing to and identifying tools to enhance group communication and efficiency
  • Monitoring training assignment and compliance
  • Potential to serve as a group leader (GL) as well
  • Duty examples include:
    • Shipping and receiving of samples
    • Setting up POs, purchasing and invoicing, tracking spend and assisting with budget
    • Coordinating studies with other global sites and CROs
    • Ensuring data are received back in a timely manner, reviewed by internal SMEs and input into the appropriate digital platforms
    • Arranging travel and setting up events along with managing calendars and setting up meetings
    • Writing memos and non-scientific communication documents

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ experience with operations support in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or CRO industries
  • Successful leadership experience preferred 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills and detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects in a global matrix/team environment
  • Critical thinker to identify business problems/ risks/ issues, and facilitate issue resolution and risk mitigation
  • Ability to navigate and prioritize multiple projects and processes while building and maintaining strong cross-functional relationships
  • Ability to work independently to make decisions where appropriate, using sound judgment to resolve issues, while understanding when to seek approval
  • Collaborative spirit to ensure knowledge sharing
  • Ability to quickly to grasp systems, processes, and stakeholder needs to identify and implement improvements as needed
  • Sensitivity toward challenging timelines
  • Comfort operating in an environment where the organizational structure and scientific strategy is constantly evolving and where clarity sometimes does not exist
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel & Word
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Details: 

This is a full-time, onsite position based on a first-shift schedule (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM), with overtime required as needed. Candidates located within a commutable distance to Cambridge, MA are strongly encouraged to apply.
