Job Description

  • Coordinate workflow and perform daily monitoring to meet TAT
  • Conduct semi-annual performance reviews, interview applicants, keep training records up to date for assigned employees, evaluate succession plans in preparation for growth
  • Confront and address problems, concerns and performance issues
  • Foster motivation and morale
  • Support and promote company policies and procedures  
  • Perform work for both routine and non-routine work as specified by separate and applicable technical job description for individual
  • Coach and develop individual and team to maximize performance
  • Monitor and approve employees’ time worked through time-entry system
  • Expand self-awareness and develop leadership skills as defined; attend applicable leadership training based on identified needs
  • Serve as a floor supervisor with regular daily and weekly scheduled lab time. Perform operations tasks as required
  • Monitor direct reports work, serving as a floor supervisor on a daily basis
  • Demonstrate technical writing skills
  • Support LEAN initiatives in the department and division
  • Perform and/or assign other duties as requested to ensure smooth operation of department
  • Perform all functions in support of and in compliance with all state and federal employment regulations
  • Communicates effectively with client staff members
  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related degree concentration and at least 2 years of laboratory experience
  • Self confidence, leadership, ability to reason, make sound decisions, delegate work, display empathy and sensitivity towards others
  • Motivation to excel and inspire excellence in others; display ability to manage the work of others and see projects through to completion
  • Display strong communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation skills; display mental and emotional stability and maturity
  • Possess ability to handle personal stress and diffuse stress in others; strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply.
