Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION AND OBJECTIVES:
The accounting team, based in Eurofins’ corporate office in Luxembourg, is in charge of the accounting and reporting for the holding companies of the Eurofins Network.
The team is looking for an Accountant to participate in the accounting, reporting and financial controlling (including preparation of documents linked to audit or tax requirements) of said companies.
POSITION & OBJECTIVES:
Job description:
- Support daily accounting from A to Z for a portfolio of several entities, ensuring consistency with the Luxembourg and the Group Chart of Accounts and rules and appropriate supporting documentation
- Follow up and reconcile expense notes (including candidates’) and corporate card expenses. Maintain Nautilus Tool
- Carry out accurate and timely reporting, on a monthly basis
- Conduct inter-company reconciliation on a monthly basis, follow up overdues and answer business questions
- Support with dealing with inter-company loans and related topics (interest, FX, etc.)
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on intra-Luxembourg transactions
- Ensure accurate and timely local and legal reporting on a monthly, quarterly or ad-hoc basis
- Manager master data (new suppliers or customers, payment conditions, bank details update, new interco entities, etc.) in liaison with our Support Service Centres and maintain Eurofins’ electronic corporate data platform for signed legal documentation
- Provide help on statutory annual financial statements, including notes to the accounts
- Deal with ad hoc requests from the Group Accounting and Controlling team
- Deal with ad hoc requests from other Eurofins functions (compliance, treasury, legal or other financial directors)
- Conduct regular inventories (various kind of inter-companies agreements, physical assets) and reconciliations with the accounting records
- Help to define and implement enhancements to the accounting/finance processes and procedures
- Take on new entities and projects
Qualifications
Profile description:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in finance/accounting
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting
- Very structured, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage properly monthly deadlines
- Very accurate and highly reliable
- Proactive, adaptable, and flexible
- Fast and agile learner; excited by having a diverse role
- Ability to work autonomously
- Good communication skills
- Team player who enjoys working in a small team
- Eager to work in an evolving, dynamic, and multicultural environment
Requirements:
- French (fluent written and spoken)
- English (fluent written and spoken)
- Any additional language is an asset
- Strong knowledge of accounting software.
