Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for a Summer Intern to work in our Avian Department in Easton, MD.

We are looking for an individual interested in laboratory research in our Avian division of our Ecotoxicology department.  If you like birds, this is the internship for you.  Completes work for research and development under CGMP and/or GLP guidelines for studies, documentation, etc.  This temporary intern position is designed to provide an environment to develop qualified individuals and to complete our demanding research goals.  The successful candidate will be an essential participant in all aspects of trial work for which appropriate training will be provided. This internship program was developed as a feeder system for future Eurofins employees. This internship is a great opportunity to obtain experience for people interested in a career in Ecotoxicology.

• Full time position, $16/hour 
• 40 hours per week, overtime as needed
• Preferred employment dates: early May to late August
• May analyze organic and inorganic compounds to determine chemical and physical properties.
• Performs analysis, first level, and peer review of data for accuracy and completeness.
• Conducts title/skill appropriate procedures with minimal supervision using laboratory equipment, computer resources, and institutional libraries.
• Training provided to conduct: Research compliant with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) requirements.
• Based on performance, return employment is possible 

• Good academic standing with freshman – senior status
• Ability to pay attention to details, work independently and efficiently
• Background in Ecotoxicology, Biology, Chemistry or Agronomy
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is temporary with full-time hours, Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm,with overtime as needed.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Easton, MD are encouraged to apply.
