Our testing portfolio includes vitamins, minerals, contaminants, pesticides and shelf-life studies.

We test of a variety of instrumentation including UPLC, HPLC, GC, and LCMS technologies. Compensation for this role is 70k-85k + Commission opportunities 30k-90k 

Job Description

Regional Sales Manager (RSM) should be proactive, confident self- starters that thrive in a competitive environment. RSM’s should be natural born closers who focus on winning new business while setting the example for the sales organization. RSM will be responsible for winning new business through aggressively cold call and generating new leads. RSM’s should have a proven record of accomplished building and maintaining new relationships as well as meeting and exceeding sales targets (both new and organic growth)

  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision 

  • Regular attendance and punctuality  

  • Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate 

  • Proactively and aggressively generates new clients via cold calling (phone, email, web-ex meetings, in person). 

  • Creating leads from literature and industry events including peer reviewed journals, poster/symposium presenters and attendee lists. 

  • Owns the Health of the Client Relationship- this includes but is not limited too; quoting, onboarding, testing inquiries, problem solving/trouble shooting, cross-selling services and growing accounts 

  • Partners with Commercial peers (Client Services, Analytical Service Managers, BUMAs, etc.) to ensure positive client experience and outcomes. 

  • Plans and executes a sales strategy/plan for assigned clients that should result in year over year increased sales dollar/units as communicated by the BUMA/President 

  • Proactively communicates with Business Unit Manager(s)/Directors/Presidents regarding client concerns/issues, large testing needs, TAT concerns, etc. 

  • Builds undeveloped accounts, defines their sales potential, focuses on accounts that can produce more revenue, and increases overall revenue in the territory 

  • Owns Master contract terms and ensure contract terms are met based on revenue, TAT, pricing., GTC’s, etc. 

  • Meets and exceeds established sales goals and reports to sales management on a timely basis 

  • Develops forecast plan for each account and aligns with the company's internal departments (i.e. marketing, purchasing) 

  • Maintains awareness of competitor pricing to ensure competitiveness within the market and accounts 

  • Conducts market research to better understand the market and opportunities 

  • Develops market strategy and marketing promotional decisions based on this knowledge 

  • Partners with the marketing department for marketing support 

  • Develops sales relationships by providing company and product information, advising and answering questions, purchase schedules, discounting and buying patterns; responds to customer service issues by phone and email; communicates with customers regarding policy changes, important dates, new products, payment terms and negotiations regarding credit terms 

  • Communicates with the credit team, on qualifying, payment terms and credit terms for new and existing accounts 

  • Ensuring proper communication between sales, credit and shipping teams on all orders processed and released 

  • Works with the legal/contracts team to understand, learn and put together contracts for current and prospective customers 

  • Performs regulatory requirement activities to ensure both Eurofins and the customer is in compliance with all required laws and documentation 

  • Gathers all required documentation and partners with documentation team to evaluate and ensure company can provide all requested and required documentation 

  • Provides technical information and support (with the assistance of Product Info, Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams) 

  • Sets up and maintains files and folders (through CRM or other approved platforms) for related documents and correspondence for customers such as customer questionnaires and profiles, correspondence, international documentation for shipping and product registration, contracts and agreements, and other relevant documents 

  • Learns and is able to execute on order entry, order uploads, calculating discounts, quoting, availability reports, running performas, running sales reports and ensuring all necessary steps in the order process is followed and completed 

  • Complies with all safety and cGMP requirements 

  • Completes other tasks as assigned 

  • Travel 25-75% within Region and nationally when needed 

  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner 

  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.  (List three to five key quantifiable skills or position requirements that the candidate must have to be considered for this position.) 

  • Bachelor’s degree in life science or business field preferred

  • 2+ years of sales (or relevant) experience  

  • Proven strong performance to cold call, actively find new leads to generate new business 

  • Persuasive, social, friendly and outgoing 

  • Enthusiastic, socially poised and ability to develop trust-based, positive relationships with clients, vendors and team members. 

  • Ability to learn new tasks 

  • Ability to think critically and solve problems quickly and efficiently
