Job Description

The Warehouse and Inventory Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting operations at Eurofins Eaton Analytical Pomona overseeing inventory storage, distribution and purchasing across ~1,000 inventoried parts and ~100 vendors.

Warehouse and Inventory Coordinator responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Overall:
    • The Warehouse and Inventory Coordinator is responsible for supporting all laboratory departments with consumables purchasing, performing incoming quality inspections, managing inventory, conducting cycle counting, and providing general facilities support in order to ensure continuation of daily business operations. 
  • Warehouse Strategy:
    • Ability to implement a flow strategy for the warehouse that optimizes storage locations, limits obstacles, and ensures the best flow of product to the laboratory.
    • The coordinator will also be responsible for in maintaining an organized and clean warehouse. Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and in compliance with all applicable regulatory and accrediting agencies including the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA).
  • Inventory/Purchasing:
    • The Warehouse and Inventory coordinator works closely with the lab supervisors to ensure accurate physical inventory counts, update purchasing volumes, and maintain correct levels of stock in the lab and warehouse with a strategic flow of materials into the lab.
    • Manages inventory in accordance with “First-In, First-Out (FIFO)” principles in order to promote efficiency and waste reduction.
    • In addition, the Warehouse and Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for all general purchasing and receiving duties.
  • Data Management:
    • T​​​he Warehouse and Inventory coordinator will maintain proper data controls to ensure consistency between purchasing, inventory, and the laboratory testing system.
  • Facilities:
    • Performs general facility related duties including, but not limited to, the cleaning of the warehouse consumable storage area, minor facility repairs, and overall monitoring of the inventory area.
  • Month End Processes:
    • ​​​​​​​Timely submission and maintenance of Month End processes and checklists including physical inventory cycle counts, part transfers, scrap, and receiving.
  • Quality:
    • Perform supplier qualifications and re-qualifications to meet quality management system
    • Has good workmanship, adherence to standard operational procedures, training, good documentation practices, and accurate recordkeeping so the company may meet its stated quality policy and objectives.
  • Interpersonal skills:
    • ​​​​​​​High integrity and demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with other departments in a professional team environment.

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Degree or higher. 
  • Experience with inventory management, materials receiving, and warehouse strategy preferred but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and documentation practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments to support operations, purchasing, finance, and quality.
  • Ability to work in controlled environments utilizing aseptic techniques.
  • Ability to work within Quality systems under regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to lift, carry and move 25-50lbs regularly

Potential Environmental Factors:

  • This laboratory carefully maintains all hazardous materials.  All employees must abide by Eurofin’s Safety and Exposure procedures.  This includes using the provided safety clothing and equipment.

Additional Information

Position is full-time Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Pomona, CA are encouraged to apply. 

The salary range for this position is $19-$23 per hour. 

This position is required to be onsite. It is not a remote position.
