Job Description
Position Summary:
The core responsibility of the Technical Manager is to support the growth and development of Food Assurance education, training, labelling and consulting business and provide technical direction for operations and business development.
Objectives:
Technical Manager will be primarily responsible for oversight and management of all technical elements within the US Food Education, Labelling, Training and Consulting (ETC) business. In addition to current operations and scope, the Technical Manager – as part of the management team for US Food Assurance – will participate in the identification and development of new services with a heavy focus on growing and expanding labelling
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Supporting technical aspects of client engagement for the ETC group, including:
- Business development process;
- Project scope development;
- Course development;
- Client queries.
- Engaging with other global Food Assurance operations – China; France; Germany; India; Turkey; UK; Vietnam - on service development opportunities and technical elements of global program opportunities.
- Managing and maintaining the technical elements of relationships with consultants and trainers including:
- Evaluating technical competency during interviews;
- Confirming technical qualifications;
- Responding to technical queries related to executions and presentations;
- Evaluating technical competency – including technical review of key deliverables;
- Providing training to support effective execution of assigned projects and presentation of assigned programs.
- Executing assigned labelling reports, consulting projects and presenting of assigned training programs
- Managing client relationships for identified clients and assigned projects
- Developing and maintaining program management documentation to support delivery of ETC services and programs
- Supporting global efforts on the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the production technology platform.
- Managing and monitoring accounts receivable and collection activities.
- Engaging with US Food Safety Solutions technical management on technical and client issues and opportunities.

- Technical aptitude, the ability to quickly assimilate and assess new information and develop plans to capitalize or react to it
Qualifications
Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ):
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.
Education/Experience (BMQ):
Bachelors or advanced degree
At least 5 years' experience in food safety including training and consulting services.
Certificates and/or Licenses (BMQ):
Certifications to support provision of training on key food safety systems and programs – e.g., BRC; SQF; FSMA
