Job Description

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibility: 

The Account Development Executive will identify business opportunities by interacting with existing customers and developing new prospects in order to increase interest, add test offerings to existing customers and qualify leads for the Outside Sales team. She/He will have a keen understanding of Viracor Eurofins’ product offerings, and the ability to close smaller sales while communicating our value to the healthcare industry.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Understand customer needs and requirements
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
  • Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Consistently log and record each-and-every outreach made, in D365, producing regular activity reports as requested by Sales Operations Manager
  • Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations
  • Closes new accounts by answering telephone, fax, and e-mail inquiries; verifying and entering information
  • Develops accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features
  • Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities
  • Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Be cognizant of each marketing initiative, and work toward corporate objectives (as assigned not necessarily all)
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly phone and email communication goals in accordance with strategic plan as set by leadership
  • Documents all customer activity D365 to insure visibility to the field sales counterparts
  • Represent department and the organization favorably and in accordance with established company standards and associate attributes at all times
  • Assist with other duties other administrative duties as assigned/required

Qualifications

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • Clinical diagnostic laboratory or hospital experience is preferred
  • Experience with D365 CRM preferred
  • Excellent presentation skills, verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Ability to comprehend the Viracor product line and to communicate our value proposition to prospects
  • Must interact effectively with all levels of management and staff, internally and externally
  • Must be adaptable, professional, courteous and motivated, and must work well individually or as a member of a team
  • Strong Internet research skills required
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail
  • Self-starting with solid follow-through and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Highly motivated with a strong desire to succeed

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and other office equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overhead
  • Ability to speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably with sufficient volume to ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting
  • Ability to continuously operate a personal computer for extended periods of time (4 or more hours)
  • Mental acuity sufficient to collect and interpret data, evaluate, reason, define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, make valid judgments and decisions
