The Quality Assurance Assistant performs a variety of clerical responsibilities under minimal supervision. Provides administrative support to the Quality Assurance Manager. Assists in maintaining employee records, SOP's, equipment records, and other method performance documentation as directed by the QAM.

Quality Assurance Assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assists in issuing controlled documents to enforce current policies and SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Laboratory surveillance to ensure equipment calibration
  • Assist QA Manager in maintaining the database of quality documents
  • Assist in compiling requested documents for external audits and client visits
  • Ensure maintenance of training records for all employees
  • Assist in maintaining historical indices of all technical records including SOPs, quality department generated QC records, etc
  • Ensure maintenance of records archives
  • Perform administrative duties as needed by the Quality department

The ideal candidate would possess:

  • Time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills – Word, Excel, and web-based applications
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Initiative, organization, and dependability

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Some college chemistry coursework, including lab experience preferred
  • 1 year bench laboratory experience or quality assurance experience
  • Requires demonstrated knowledge of chemistry lab terms, laboratory work, and measurement
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., with overtime as needed.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Buffalo, NY are encouraged to apply.
