Job Description

Job Description Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of LC/MS methods for the characterization and quantitation of synthetic impurities and degradants to support drug development programs across the CMC Synthetics Platform
  • Development and implementation of LC/MS methods for the analysis of lipid biomarkers to support Client drug discovery and development programs
  • Operate equipment in the laboratories to perform these duties and will interact regularly with other scientists and local management as needed to communicate information related to these duties under the supervision of a scientist
  • Evaluate and document analytical results in electronic notebook and prepare analytical reports with the results as needed

Qualifications

Requirements

  • PhD or MS in relevant field (Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry) with 2-4 years (PhD) or 4-7 years (MS) of laboratory experience in pharmaceutical research and development
  • Hands-on experience with LC/MS method development
  • Familiarity with the operation of Sciex triple quad and Thermo QE mass spectrometers
  • Good communication skills (oral and written) and organization skills are required
  • Ability to work independently and set own schedule

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Waltham, MA are encouraged to apply. The person will provide services at a Waltham, MA site until later this year, then transition to a Cambridge, MA site.
