Entry Level Operations Project Manager - Global Gene Therapy Operations

Job Description

  • Role is onsite, Cambridge, MA
  • As part of a small Operations team, responsibilities include providing operational support for those scientists working in the lab.  This could include working with Lab Operations in resolving equipment failures, working with equipment vendors to schedule equipment maintenance, installations, trainings, placing equipment orders.  Work will also include training scientists how to place lab supply orders, working with our LabSmart team, helping resolve pending invoices.   
  • Create a Lab Support Tracking database, reporting and resolution.  Interacting with Lab Operations, Facilities, EHS, Operations, Space Planning to help resolve issues. 
  • Assist scientists with lab supplies orders and provide guidance and training to scientists during month end invoice processing.
  • Assist manager with new lab space buildout and other project needs.  
  • Ongoing operational support which includes interacting with Scientific teams to ensure smooth and expedited processing of requests. 
  • Contribute to SharePoint strategy, maintain group sites, and identify additional tools to enhance group communication.

Qualifications

  • Must live in an area close for onsite work in Cambridge, MA
  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 months - 1 year experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry desired
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Excel, Word.  Proficiency in SharePoint and Smartsheet’s a plus
  • Must be able to apply critical thinking skills to identify business problems/ risks/ issues, and facilitate issue resolution and risk mitigation
  • Ability to navigate and prioritize multiple projects and processes within a growing team.
  • Detailed Oriented, Team Player, quick to grasp client's legal and procurement systems, processes, and teams as well as stakeholder needs.
  • Ability to work independently and use sound judgement to resolve issues
  • Independently make decisions where appropriate but also understand when to seek approval
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and build strong cross-functional relationships
  • Strong willingness to collaborate to ensure knowledge sharing
  • Ability to identify and implement processes that provide information and transparency to business
  • Sensitivity toward challenging timelines
  • Comfort operating in an environment where the organizational structure and scientific strategy is constantly evolving
  • Ability to understand needs and actions in situations where clarity does not exist

Additional Information
