Job Description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage large sets of data and files in support of new product engineering and development. Confirm accuracy of data sets. Upload data and manually enter data. Utilize Excel to perform basic statistics (standard deviations, min, max, mean, basic graphs/charts, advanced automation formulas, etc.)
- Move and organize large data sets and files; set up data files and storage, and organize large volumes of electronic files.
- Carry out data analysis and reporting; format data for presentation to clients. Proactively follow up with labs, engineers, vendors, and sources of data to ensure timely retrieval and submission.
- Proactively work with engineers, project managers, and laboratories in obtaining data. Identify and request missing data sets, and gain a firm understanding of data origin.
- Ensure strong communication; assist with project management and timelines. Participate-on, and contribute-to the collective success of the engineering and product development team. Ensure involvement with multiple priorities concurrently and manage priorities.
- Cover-for and assist teammates in the laboratory, at the bench, or in pilot-level production projects by operating simple equipment. Accurately document data in notebooks in compliance with good documentation practices.
- Adhere to highest quality standards; ensure compliance with quality system requirements
- Communicate effectively with client staff members and co-workers
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would possess:
- 1-3 years of relevant data management experience
- 4-year degree in Science, Chemistry, Technology, Engineering, or Math.
- Very strong Excel, SharePoint, computer, statistics, and organizational skills. Strong understanding of R and Python preferred. Abilitity to handle very large data sets.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to generate error-free work independently
- Ability to understand source data and carry out data analysis and interpretation
- Strong desire to contribute to the collective success of the engineering team; motivation to take ownership of projects; learn and understand the product development evolution.
- Ability to understand overarching project goals and objectives.
- Excellent communication (oral and written and presentation) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Flexibility and adaptability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, carry out other tasks as assigned, and comply with company policies
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

- Position is full-time, Monday- Friday 8:00-5:00 pm.
- May be requested to work on weekends, overtime, and holidays based on business needs.
