Transplant Genomics Inc. (“TGI”) is a molecular diagnostics company committed to improving organ transplant outcomes with non-invasive serial monitoring guided by biomarkers. TGI’s product portfolio of both individual and combined whole blood gene expression and donor derived cell-free DNA testing is capable of reliably ruling out subclinical kidney rejection and acute rejection in kidney transplant patients. In addition to kidney transplantation testing, our newest product for liver transplant patients is a blood-based biomarker assay designed to rule out rejection as immunosuppression therapy is optimized.
Job Description
TGI is searching for a Collection Specialist Manager in the Boston, MA or Lenexa, KS or Fremont, CA areas able to work remote and travel as needed. The position collaborates with subordinates, customers, per group managers, and other key employees and departments to carry out routine and non-routine business activities and initiatives. The position works on diverse issues where evaluation and analysis of a variety of business factors is necessary to achieve successful outcomes. Position reports to the Director of Client Services.
The Collection Specialist Manager will manage a growing team of Phlebotomist (Collection Specialists) across all existing sales territories.
Position is Salary position. Candidates can work remotely, with the expectation of traveling to an affiliated Eurofins offices as needed, and travel to Fremont, CA for onboarding and training required.
Essential Job Duties:
• Manages the complete team of Collection Specialists including hiring, supervision, performance management, training, metrics, and development
• Manages and enforces safety & laboratory standards, policy and procedures and participates in quality assurance and quality improvement activities
• Leads and motivates team members, foster their professional development and growth, and promote teamwork and cooperation.
• Develop metrics to evaluate department performance and monitor / evaluate department and individual performance against metrics on an ongoing basis, monthly and quarterly.
• Oversee process related to the collection of human specimens and documentation of client & patient complaints and any general feedback during the specimen collection process
• Create and maintain document library of standing operating procedures, phlebotomist specific forms, and any reference guides used by Collection Specialists team
• Manage and coordinate weekly staff meetings to ensure adherence to constant changing procedures, update staff on new products and programs and general company activity
• Can perform blood draws on occasion using venipuncture according to standard protocol, ensuring patient safety and quality specimen collection
• Can provides patient instruction for sample collection
• Manages the teams use of proper container type, centrifugation, disposal, and transportation and/or shipping of specimens
• Is familiar with proper specimen duties such as aliquoting urine and separating blood samples when required for testing and use of portable centrifuge
• Learn and able to properly describe and explain to patient level 1-2 company and product information
• Performing periodic audits of CRM records, ensuring accuracy and completeness; developing action plans for addressing any issues identified
• Working with Phlebotomist Coordinator and Director of Client Service to help resolve issues by engaging other company resources as appropriate.
• Must be COVID- 19 vaccinated
• HIPAA Compliance: Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and good judgement
Qualifications
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both with external clients and internal personnel
• Experience working in a matrixed environment with cross-functional teams
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, administrative skills, and above-average computer skills
• High level of organization, good documentation skills, and attention to detail
• A result- and goal-oriented attitude, integrity, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to quality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment; flexible and quickly adaptable to changing priorities
• Ability to function independently, and work collaboratively to identify solutions
• A basic understanding of transplant medicine or desire to learn on the job
• Experience working in a clinical laboratory setting
• Experience in a medical setting and with medical terminology, and/or transcription preferred
• Experience with CRM systems preferred (SalesForce, Microsoft Dynamics,)
• Experience with Phlebotomy software preferred

• Actively participate in, support and drive compliance with all state, federal and regulatory guidelines, standards, and laws
• Possess a collaborative approach to foster effective teamwork with all client operations colleagues
• Ability to travel 50%, as required
• Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
• High level of proficiency with PC based software programs
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent required
• 4+ years of customer facing experience
• 3 years previous experience supervising employees in a medical or lab environment
• Active Phlebotomy certification preferred
• Previous experience supervising remote employees
• 2 years applicable experience in pharmaceutical, medical device or lab testing space
• Authorization to work in the Unites States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm. Position is fully remote, ideal candidate would be located in Lenexa, KS, Fremont, CA or Boston, MA.
