  • Eurofins DiscoverX Products France (EDPF) dont l'activité est la production de certains réactifs stratégiques comme les protéines purifiées utilisées pour les tests enzymatiques (kinases et autres enzymes).

Job Description

REPORTING TO : France business line Leader/Senior Director of IT and Informatics

SCOPE : 3 Discovery sites in Europe (Villapharma SP, EID UK, Eurofins Cerep FR)

OVERALL OBJECTIVES :

  • Partner with the business in a true “IT as a Service” environment to provide efficient, resilient, best-in-class, cost-efficient IT services to all business units within the region of responsibility;
  • Coordinates IT and process optimization streamlining projects that brings the business units part of the Drug Discovery business line up to the Eurofins Group standards in terms of quality of services, productivity, efficiency, turn around time and automation.
  • Drive development and deployment projects aiming at modernizing the IT Solutions & infrastructure of the Drug Discovery Business Line.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Responsibilities include, in the scope of a regional context, but are not limited to the following :

  • Engage with the key stakeholders to define, put in place, govern an IT landscape that leverages economies of scale, while homogenizing appropriate IT solutions for the Drug Discovery Eurofins Legal Entities;
  • Get the Drug Discovery business processes harmonized and agreed by Business Leaders;
  • Strive to improve productivity, TAT and profitability in the Drug Discovery Business Line with the implementation of IT services;
  • In conjuction with key stakeholders, define the IT strategy, priorities and roadmap;
  • Implement a state of the art « IT as a Service » model for IT Services;
  • Act as the « Managed IT Service Provider » towards the internal IT customers;
  • Build a network and foster productive relationships with key business leaders 
  • Define, monitor and reports on IT service quality, as well as customer satisfaction against agreed KPIs and Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance indicators 
  • In agreement with local business leaders, build and manage the IT team(s), potentially distribributed over multiple countries
  • Cooperate with multidiscplinary regional and corporate teams to ensure adherance with company standards and policies, ensuring consistency and compliance, fostering collaboration, promoting synergies and share good practices/methodologies across the different groups within the organization 
  • Manage (directly and/or indirectly) team of managers, architects, technical lead(s), business analysts, developers, testers, build & deployment engineers, support engineers, etc.
  • Identify areas where value can be added by streamline processes and implement innovations such as software automation, business process automation, implementation of new tools (i.e. collaboration tools), etc.
  • Establish framework(s) to monitor, measure, and report ongoing programs/projects and day-to-day activities, identify risks and dependencies proactively, and drive continuous improvement based on the specific metrics
  • Have the ability to not only see the overall vision and strategy but also the ability to get into details of the deliverables of each team to provide guidance, unblock them, and help them be successful
  • Experience managing multi-discipline functional and technical teams, and defines project scope and objectives. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
  • Assess project issues and identify solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer goals
  • Attracts, develops, and retains highly talented staff, conducts talent management and succession planning
  • Prepare and ensure adherence to the program budget
  • Prepare and present program and project reports to senior management / steering committee as required

Qualifications

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Applications, or a related field / alternatively demonstrated work experience.

Work Experience

  • At least 15 years professional experience in overall IT industry in IT applications/software design, development, deployment, and support
  • At least 8 years of experience in IT management positions
  • Experience managing international customers/projects
  • Experience with program management including full portfolio of IT disciplines like agile development, manual/automation testing, release management, infrastructure management, information security, production support

Technical Skills

  • High level of English communication skills (concise writing and orally convincing)  
  • Knowledge of using Excel for building metrics/reports
  • Knowledge of managing applications on AWS/Azure cloud
  • Familiarity with technologies/architectures such .Net, Java, Rest, Mongo, SQL Server, Oracle, Apex, Docker, xUnit, Angular, Javascript, SOAP, Git, AWS, Windows, Linux, SharePoint, Azure DevOps/TFS
  • Experience with change management and membership in Change Advisory Board (CAB) is a nice to have
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools for management reporting is a nice to have
  • Knowledge of these will be a plus:
    • SAFe experience
    • Knowledge of GAMP 5
    • Knowledge of GxP
  • Certification in these will be a plus :
    • Certified Scrum Master
    • Certified Scrum Product Owner
    • COBIT 5
    • ITIL;
    • ISO 27001

Additional Information

Working location : Celle-Levescault, France

Travel :

  • Travels to Eurofins facilities located in and outside the region is required up to aprox. 15% of the working time

PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL CRITERIA :

Eurofins has a strong focus on performance management. This includes a prior definition of SMART objectives with frequent calibrations, half-yearly reviews, and annual reviews.
