Eurofins Technologies is an International Business Line (IBL) within the Eurofins Group focused on the development, manufacturing and marketing of bioanalytical technologies and diagnostic test kits. The Technologies business line is primarily focused on solutions in Food and Environmental Safety with some expansion into Animal Health and Clinical Diagnostics. Eurofins Technologies serves both external customers (industrial laboratories, governmental laboratories, service laboratories) as well as customers within the Eurofins Group.

The Finance Manager is a member of the Business Line management team and reports into the Business Line CFO.

As a business partner, the Finance Manager will support and challenge the extended management team across the globe.

The Finance Manager is responsible for all finance and finance related processes, both routine and ad hoc. As such, the jobholder is an entrepreneur that drives growth and value generation as within the business, through a hands-on and cross-functional approach.

Accounting

• Oversee all daily operations of the accounting and finance related activities
• Lead and drive a smooth, timely and accurate monthly closing process
• Develop, maintain and enforce accounting and finance related policies and procedures
• Participate in and manage financial and tax audits, ensuring fiscal compliance
• Manage and improve activities outsourced to group and business line service centers (SC)

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Ensure timely and correct delivery of the business line management reporting
• Support the business by further developing reporting tools and KPIs, routine and ad hoc
• Lead, drive and manage the planning processes Forecasting and Budgeting

Leadership

• Build a positive work environment focused on continuous improvement and value generation
• Integrate and empower across functions, legal entities and including service centers
• Empower other leaders through financial transparency, accountability and support
• Drive the development of leadership culture in general

Business Acumen

• Build and continuously expand an understanding of the business, the technologies used, trends, markets and competitors, as well as the stakeholders within and outside of the organization
• Engage, challenge and support the extended management team, providing strategic guidance, identifying opportunities and risk, supporting the decision-making process as a sought after finance expert, with relevant perspective on the business and its aspects
• Identify, evaluate, initiate, support and lead process improvements, projects and any other activity within and outside finance, that drives value generation (ERP implementation, Strategy, Resource Planning)

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Finance / IT / Logistics or related field with at least 3 years’ experience as business controller in a complex value chain environment

Or

Master’s degree in another field with 6 years’ experience as a business controller in a complex value chain environment

Technical Knowledge

• Understanding of business processes from a finance and IT point of view
• Excel Level: Advanced (no VBA required)
• PowerBI / SQL: Extensive experience, no expert knowledge required (but appreciated)
• ERP: Several years of experience with different modules and systems
• IFRS (profit and loss, balance sheet), cash flow and tax accounting
• Experience with financial planning and modelling
