Job Description
Synopsis
The Safety & Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting the safety and compliance functions within the Technical Operations department. This role involves reviewing technical safety reports, entering data into the safety system, allocating safety actions, preparing safety meeting packs, and tracking various safety and compliance-related activities. The role will proactively assess risks and help the organization prioritize its efforts in the most effective manner. Additionally, the analyst will advise and support risk analysis by providing accurate data from Technical Occurrence Reports (TORs), audit findings, and investigation findings. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Accountabilities:
- Management of Change (MOC) Support: Monitor and track Management of Change raised within Technical Operations. Track and monitor identified risks identified through the MOC process. Facilitate and support the creation of new MOC and ongoing management of MOC through to closure.
- Technical Safety Report Review and Data Entry: Review all Technical Safety Reports (TSRs) Enter relevant data into the Safety System (Intelex) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Safety Action Allocation: Allocate safety actions following the review of safety reports. Ensure actions are assigned to the appropriate personnel and tracked to completion.
- Meeting Pack Preparation: Populate Safety Meeting packs, including Safety Action Groups (SAG) Ensure all necessary documentation and data are compiled and presented clearly.
- Investigation Tracking: Track the progress of safety investigations and ensure investigation actions are followed up. Maintain accurate records of all investigation activities and outcomes.
- Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs): Track the implementation and effectiveness of CAPAs. Ensure CAPAs are completed within the specified timeframes and report any delays or issues.
- Meeting Minutes and Actions: Record meeting minutes for safety and compliance meetings.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a data analyst role, preferably in the aviation industry.
- Familiarity: Safety Management Systems (SMS) and regulatory requirements (preferred).
- Skills: Strong organizational and data management skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office Software.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and interaction with stakeholders.

- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using safety management software (e.g., Intelex) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Adaptability: Flexible and able to manage changes in regulations and organizational requirements.
- Initiative: Proactive in identifying areas for improvement and taking necessary actions.
