Job Description
The Executive Director, Architecture defines and drives the enterprise architecture strategy and technical roadmap for Ergomed, ensuring the Microsoft-standardized stack is fully leveraged. The role leads the transition from legacy systems to a modern, AI-enabled ecosystem, embedding advanced technologies across highly regulated business processes.
Acting as a strategic partner to executive leadership, the role ensures alignment between business goals and technology, while establishing scalable, secure, and compliant architecture foundations.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and maintain the Target State Enterprise Architecture that enables seamless integration of Agentic, Generative AI, Machine Learning (ML), and LLMs across all business units.
- Develop architectural blueprints that bridge the gap between legacy systems , SaaS systems and modern, AI-ready cloud environments.
- Partner with the Head of Data to ensure the data architecture provides the high-quality, low-latency fuel required for AI models s, ensuring models are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
- Establish and lead an Architecture Review Board (ARB) to ensure consistency across Data Application and Infrastructure layers
- Define "North Star" architectures for PV & CRO Mature data governance to align with the enterprise architecture
- Ensure all architectural designs adhere to global regulations, including GCP (Good Clinical Practice), 21CFR Part 11, and GDPR.
- Standardize data exchange protocols using FHIR, CDISC, and HL7 to ensure seamless interoperability with sponsors and healthcare providers.
- Partner with the CISO to bake "Security by Design" into every layer of the tech stack.
- Act as a technical consultant to executive leadership on emerging trends like blockchain in clinical trial or Quantum computing’s impact on drug discovery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, pharmacy, nursing, public health, computer science, or related field required
- Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, MS, MBA) preferred
- Training or certification in product management, agile methodologies, or project management is advantageous
