Job Description
The Job Club Instructor facilitates engaging workshops focused on job readiness, career development, and employment retention for W-2 participants. This role equips families with practical workforce skills, tracks participant engagement and progress, and contributes to improved job placement outcomes.
- Design and deliver interactive workshops covering resume writing, interview preparation, workplace etiquette, career planning, and employment retention strategies.
- Foster a supportive and motivating learning environment for W-2 participants.
- Track participant attendance, engagement, and progress toward employment goals.
- Collaborate with FEPs and employment services staff to align workshop content with participant needs.
- Provide individualized feedback and coaching to participants as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of workshop participation and outcomes.
- Stay current on workforce trends and integrate relevant content into the workshop curriculum.
- Uphold confidentiality and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and program regulations.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in workforce development, adult education, or career services.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Ability to engage with diverse audiences and adapt content to participant needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual workshop platforms.
Preferred
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in human services, Education, or related field.
- Experience working with W-2 participants or similar populations.
- Familiarity with job readiness, curricula and employment resources.
- Bilingual (Spanish or Hmong) a plus.
